I`ve been trying to get rid of a mild case of foliculitis (ingrown hair) for quite some time now. I tried going to the doctor and using different antibiotics, as well as anti-bacterial face-washes, but the results have been poor. This product "offers strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties" and that is why I decided to try it out. I thought it would help me get rid of the bacterial infection that is causing my foliculitis.
Before I say more, I guess it`s good to bear in mind that we all have different skin types, eating habits and life styles that ultimately reflect themselves on our skin among other things. That is why this product may be good for others, but not for me. It would be also useful for you to know that I am a young male with sensitive skin type.
A few words about my experience.
Basically, after having used this honey for three consecutive days, my face just exploded!
My face got inflamed to the point where I could feel a mild pain and a lot of (really, a lot) white infected acne appeared on the area where I have applied the honey. I have applied only a drop of it my finger tip and spread it out evenly across the infected area.
Initially, after the second day of use, I figured that the reaction I was seeing was maybe one where my skin was starting to clear. But on the third day of use, the inflammation got so bad that i decided to stop using this product completely (NB: this kind of reaction is described in the instruction list and people are advised to stop using the product in case this happens).
I did not think that a natural product like this could/would cause such a strong reaction. After all, it`s only honey without any artificial chemicals added to it.
Also, as someone mentioned in the earlier reviews, the texture of this product is not that of a regular cream. In fact, it`s not creamy at all. All it is in reality is honey with fine granules that you can feel once you apply it onto your fingers. After a few minutes on your face, the honey (naturally) becomes sticky, so it is hard to tolerate having sticky honey on your face throughout the day, even if in very tinny scale.
Note also that this seller offers a refund two weeks after the sale, and they expect the item to be unopened. In case you try it and it doesn`t work, you will lose your money just like that, since you can not NOT open a cream, right? Right.
