I smoke a pipe several times a day, always with these. I ordered them here because there's no local shops around here where I can get this quantity for the price. Come to think of it there's not really any shops at all local to this area, so sometimes I buy mundane things on Amazon.
I haven't used a quarter of the bag since October 2008 (there was definitely more than 100 in there) and have never burned completely through one or had them fall apart. so yeah, there you go. They are indeed brass pipe screens. Follow the smoke toward the riff-filled land...
