Ive been using this brush for a few months now. I can comfortably recomend it to anyone who 'wet shaves.'
I waited to write the review as I wanted to make sure it lasted well. When I first tried it, the brush seemed a bit stiff, especially for a silvertip. Not stiff like a normal brush, but just stiffer than I thought it would be. This quickly went away after 3-4 uses. Now it is as smooth as could be.
Brush holds water exceptionally well and makes a thick foam quickly, both in a bowl or directly on the face. I have used this brush with both Proraso Shaving Soap, Ultra Sensitive Skin 5.2 oz (147 g), as well as Musgo Real Shave Cream - Classic Scent, both have worked well.
During a quick wash prior to the first use, about 3-4 hairs fell out. I havent noticed a single one since. The handle is very attractive, doesnt seem plastic either. The Parker logo rubbed off the handle fairly quickly too, which I was glad for, I never understood why companies write their name all over personal products anyway.
The stand is a simple polycarbonite (clear plastic) base that holds the brush in a bristles down position to dry. Nothing fancy but does the job well.
I can recommed this item without hesitation.
