Customer Review: Good product... Why so much for shipping?

I have been using the product only for one week now and seems to work well, but I don't really understand why shipping is so expensive. One thing I don't get is that, when you check the shipping weight, you read 12 pounds, but it's really less than one pound. I bought it thinking it was more than one package, but in fact is only one.
Another regret I have is the bleach bowl was smashed when the package arrived.
