These tests do work. I've had a confusing time with these tests. The tests state that if you read them after 5 minutes you can get a false positive. I had assumed I was getting a false positive because I was reading the tests after 5 min & getting a very weak positive.
I figured these were just cheap tests when I got my period any way, but it turns out I had a very early miscarriage that I was only aware of b/c we were trying to get pregnant.
I did an experiment after I knew I was no longer pregnant & read the test after 5, 15, & 45 minutes...no "false" positives this time as the directions state you may get. So if you are TTC these tests are worth the price & the LH ovulation tests this company makes work to. So I have to change this to 5 stars not 3.

I have been telling all my girlfriends about these strips! If you are like my husband and skeptical, no they are not defective and if you don't trust them they are so affordable you can double or triple check for next to nothing! I got both positives and negatives from these and know they work effectively. Only downside is you dip the tiny bottom portion in urine to get a read rather than urinate on them midstream....but for the money savings and opportunity to test everyday, it was worth it!!! (I just kept small disposable cups in the bathroom). I can't believe people spend $10-15 per test at the drugstore when these are sooo easy! If you doubt, use these til you get a positive and then confirm it with an expensive test!Customer Review: Very sensitive test!

Received the tests quickly and was shocked to see how early on I was able to detect my pregnancy (only about 6-7 days past ovulation/conception)! The test line was very faint, but definately was there!!! With all the extra tests, I've been able to take a test every couple days to watch the test line get darker and darker with my rising HcG levels. Test also worked well within the 5 min. stated time (I saw some reviews suggested to allow more, but the package only calls for 5 min.). After this baby comes, I'll be coming back to this seller for all other test strips I need!Customer Review: Excellent at early detection

These tests have worked very well for me. They gave me a positive result when by beta HCG level came back only 8. The line I got when my HCG was 8 was faint, but definitely there (no guessing). I've also not had any difficulty with false positives when I am not pregnant. I would highly recommend these tests. A positive result does not show up right away, so you need to wait the full 5 minutes before reading the result for sure. I have not had as good of luck with similar tests from other manufacturers. When i ordered these about a year ago, i received the strips with the dark blue ends. I received a positive result 5 days before my missed period. It was faint, however, it was definitely there, and became darker and darker everyday :)
When you are TTC and doing alot of testing these strips are really the way to go. They are sooo cheap, and they work great! the only thing you need though, is some cups to pee into. I kept a stack of disposable dixie cups on the counter to use. I would recommend these tests to anyone.
