Customer Reviews of 20x25x5 MERV 13 Air Bear High Efficiency Replacement Filter (2 Pack)

Customer Review: Works as advertized
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my second order of the filters. They work well. I will likely order them again in the future.

Customer Review: Genuine Product
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a genuine Air Bear product and it seems to be working well. I've only had it in for a month, so it's hard to give it a true rating yet- it's supposed to last up to one year. Filters-NOW, the company it shipped from, sent it quickly and everything went smoothly with them.

Customer Review: Good Quality for Generic filter
Summary: 4 Stars

The listing for this Filter is a bit misleading. I thought that I was purchasing an OEM filter (Air Bear), but this is a generic filter. Nevertheless, it seems to be well made and it actually has a better fit than the OEM filter. Very fast shipping too!

Customer Review: If this is a Trion, I have a bridge for sale....
Summary: 2 Stars

Arrived on time in a strong, tri-wall corrugated box. There are very few markings on this filter. The Trion MERV 11 (259112-102) that I replaced had "TRION" all over it, with part numbers, phone numbers, email address, Web site URL, physical location address (road, not PO Box). This unit had the size, "DPFR" (what ever that is), MERV 8, 11, 13 (with the 13 marked by a marker on one side, not the other), a UL mark as to "Flammability only," a small "Air Flow" arrow, and THAT was it. Mostly white cardboard. I have doubts that this was made by Trion.

The cardboard shell seems lighter, the 5" depth is about 1/8" smaller than the Trion filter I replaced (gaskets provided a seal vs the frame), the cardboard fins needed to be pushed back into place, and the foam gasket material was lighter then the one on my old Trion filter. The construction was not done well either. I had to push the filter material and wire mesh back into the cardboard frame before I put it in my HVAC system. If this was marked as a generic replacement for a Trion, then I would have given this a 3 star rating since the cost was OK for a MERV 13. My question: 'is this really a MERV 13 unit'? I think I'll shop for a Trion MERV 11 next as I would feel more conformable knowing that it is really MERV 11. If this really is a Trion, I do have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.
