3M Tegaderm Foam Dressing - Nonadhesive Pad size: 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" - Fenestrated (perforated) 3M Tegaderm Foam Dressing (nonadhesive) is a fast wicking, non-swelling polyurethane foam with a highly breathable film backing which prevents wound exudate strike-through and is a barrier to outside contamination while the dressing remains intact without leakage. Heavily draining wounds often result in skin maceration, frequent dressing changes and patient discomfort. Tegaderm foam dressing (nonadhesive) provides total fluid management by a combination of fast wicking, high absorbency and breathability. The edges of the dressing must be bordered with 3M Tegaderm Transparent Dressing for barrier protection against bacteria and viruses. Product Benefits: Reduced potential for skin maceration - Fluid wicks quickly into the pad to prevent pooling and migration onto surrounding tissue, thus reducing the potential for skin maceration. Highly absorbent foam and breathable film yield total fluid management, providing extended wear and low cost. Easy of application - Blue grid and 3M logos show top of dressing assuring proper pad application to wound. Barrier to strike-through - Top film is breathable, yet provides a barrier to outside contamination and exudate strike-through. Non-swelling - The foam pad is highly absorbent, yet will not swell reducing the potential for disruption of healing tissue. Variety of sizes and styles - Available in a wide variety of sizes, Tegaderm Foam Dressings (nonadhesive) include a roll for larger wounds and a special fenestrated dressing for tracheostomy tubes and other percutaneous tubes or drains.
