I purchased this product for my 94 yr old grandmother with macular degeneration. I found the lens to be of high quality and liked the illumination feature. It is small and easy to handle. She was extremely pleased as she could read fine print (8-12 font) using this magnifier. However, if she tried to read something already in large print format, she had difficulty staying focused on the words. Though she has a steady hand, the words seemed to "float around the page". I have ordered a lens of lesser magnification for her large print magazines.
