Being an active person who likes to work out and play sports, I find myself overdoing it now and then, and occasionally getting an injury- that's why I keep one or two of these on hand all the time.
I use them mainly for things like sprains and strains. Since they're made of elastic, you can wrap them as tight as you want to. This compression does two things- it helps support an area (like the knee or ankle), as well as decrease swelling.
Whatever brand you choose, make sure you get the kind that use velcro- the kind that use metal clips are harder to use and can get lost quite easily.
