I have very weak knee due to weight strenghtening. I have several knee braces, but wanted a light brace to wear under clothes. It is very light. However, I have not wore it since purchased. My knee measure at 13.5 inches, and based on that measurement, I would fit with a small. Wrong, small is definitely too tight. Medium would probably fit more comfortably. I tried to stretch it. I also tried to wash it, then stretched it. It still won't fit. I was so looking forward to getting the brace, and trying it on. What a big disappointment. The size is definitely misleading. I've toss the package that it came in, thinking there was no way I would ever return this product. I was wrong. I don't know what else to do with it now, but just let it sit or hoping to lose weight, so it'll fit.
