While it is no Welch-Allen, this is a great set for the price. I have used it for the first 2 years of medical school and it has served me well. Nice kit, for a hundred bucks and change, but with the drawbacks of mediocre illumination, being unable to use the magnifying lens when doing a procedure through the otoscope, and the ophthalmoscope appearing a little cheesy and loose - plastic lens, etc.? Main drawback is the size of the case - it's huge, 9.5 x 8 x 2.5 inches, and is nearly impossible to fit in even a medium-large medical bag with few other instruments.Customer Review: Low Price = Low/Poor Quality

Great price..... Right..... This product worked great the first 8-10 times.... Despite multiple battery changes the light is very poor.... Now instead of saving money, I have wasted money and time.... I will have to invest in another set....
