This clipper has been reliable and sturdy. It is made well and has held up to over 10 clippings so far on two dogs with a lot of fur. I make sure to add oil often as I am clipping so it stays well lubricated. I wish it came with some clipper attachments so that I don't have to buy them separately.Customer Review: Good Clippers

I purchased these to groom my cat. While they did a beautiful job taking the hair off, they became so hot that I had to stop three times and let them cool off. The entire unit was hot, not just the blade. Please pay attention to this when grooming your animals, the have very delicate skin. I Returned them for this reason.Customer Review: Oiling constantly?!

I bought these clippers based on all the great reviews I read, but when I read in the instructions that you have to oil before, DURING and after use I realized it wasn't for me. Oiling it while cutting the dog's coat? I don't understand that at all. Maybe because I'm not a professional groomer, but my 15 and 17 year old poodles are terrified of groomers and I simply won't put them through the stress.
