I am a professional dog groomer. I bought these clippers 14 months ago to replace a slower pair of Andis clippers. I loved them until this past week when they started heating up - and I don't mean the blades folks, I mean the barrel where you hold them. After only a few minutes of trimming they got too hot to hold. I have spoken to other groomers who have also bought the Ultraedge and have had to replace them after only six months or so of use because they broke down. A powerful and quality groom right out of the box, comfortable to use initially, but for the money I would expect them to hold up better. I am back to using my slower ones until I can find a quality replacement.Customer Review: Good

it works really good, it gets hot though so i keep giving it a break and it doesn't work that good on wet fur, i got a standard poodle which is totally curly, the blade doesn't mind the tangled hairs at all as long as its dry, i used a $59 oster clipper before i didn't knew i was just wasting my time and money on that one, after i purchased this andis clipper i saw the huge difference, i'll for sure recommend this product's, amazon store shipped it really quick.Customer Review: Ok, but slow going

I was hoping for a bit more power, based on the review, but I still decided to keep it. Next time I'll get what the sheep herders use. It took like two hours to shave my short haired over weight lab. And it did an ok job, but it was a definite work out. In the long run I guess I'm saving some money.Customer Review: Not a good buy

I have an Andis clipper that I bought the first part of this year from a local pet store. They got so hot we could not finish cutting a miniature schnauzer without having to let them cool several times.
I ordered the Andis Ultra Edge AGC Super 2 speed clipper on the recommendation a person the clips dogs on the side and a partial review of the product on Amazon.com.
We used the clippers for the first time 7, 12, 07. I am one that reads instructions before using a product because I don't profess to know more about something then the manufacture does like some people do. These clippers were oiled like the instructions say. We could not get the dogs head done without having to stop because they got so hot. You could not hold your hand on them. I also ordered a different blade for the clippers and they also go so hot we had to stop. I have one miniature schnauzer that is kind of butchered up and another one that is not finished. We have to wait a couple days for the Oster clippers to arrive.
I have requested a refund on these clippers and have another brand ordered from Amazon.
P.S.
I am almost bald and my wife can not give me a complete hair cut without having to stop and wait for the clippers to cool.
The clippers came from USA-WORLD-SALES and they will not give a refund on the clippers.

I had to return this product the next day after using it since it got way too hot for operation. It was so hot that I couldn't touch the surface.
