The basic tray is white and opaque, the lids prettily colored and see-through. Each week's lids are connected and slide out of the white tray so you can take out the whole pink or blue strip of plastic at once and not worry about separate little lids flying every which way. You can also take out all the lid strips and wash all 5 parts separately (4 lid strips and one tray).

I like how sturdy it is. the plastic sides and pill wells are smooth and feel well-made. The tray is a bit large, so it's not very comfortable to turn it over and dump one day's pills into your hand, but the wells are slightly sloped at the front, so you can comfortably drag the pills up the front of the well with your fingertip. I had a cheaper model which broke the first week I had it--I pushed the lid all the way back so I could dump the pills into my hand and the lid broke right off. So far so good with this model, but I have not pushed the lids as far.

Overall, I'm happy with it. Sturdy, cute and likely to last a while.
