I take Bystolic for high blood pressure. The pills are triangular in shape. Originally was prescribed 5 mg, but soon found out that I only needed to take 2 1/2 mg., therefore requiring me to cut my pills in half. Changing my prescription from 5 mg to 2 1/2 mg was out of the question because price is the same for either. Cutting them enables me to get more bang for my buck. I first tried cutting my pills with some razors I had in the house which quickly became a hassle. Uneven cuts, pills bouncing around, scavenging for pieces at my feet, etc. You get the idea. I read prior reviews and some warned of flimsiness, etc. I have found that the product is not flimsy at all, but could break after rough handling, just like any other product. I have now had a chance to cut about 30 pills and would like to let you know that it works like a charm. I have been heeding the advise from prior reviewers and treating it delicately which seems to work. Nice features aid in accurate cuts. See through plastic, firm grip material and razor safety. Compartment captures cut pills. Well thought out. Thanks amazon and Apex.
