I've been using Arm & Hammer's baking soda toothpaste since my dentist recommended it over 12 years ago because it doesn't contain silica (sand) which wears down enamel. Since then, the formula's changed slightly and the box has changed a lot, but this is still the same excellent toothpaste it's always been. I've had no problem sticking with it all this time because it leaves my teeth slick and clean and my mouth feeling fresh.
It's too bad that so many people prefer trying to make their teeth whiter by brushing with a more abrasive toothpaste that this product isn't carried in my local stores anymore and I have to buy it online. THANK YOU, Amazon, for carrying it!
I don't know to which product those reviewers who complained about different ingredients causing allergic reactions are referring. My order just arrived (5/13/10) and the ingredients are: sodium fluoride, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), water, glycerin, sodium saccharin, PEG-8, flavor, cellulose gum, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate. The UPC is 033200183709.
Rest assured, this is the good toothpaste!
