Customer Review: Why did they change the formula - Tastes Bad now

I've used the Atkins shakes for years now. But now they taste bad. They taste like a bad diet drink from the 90's. They have a bad after taste, more carbs than the original, made with dairy (milk) protein now instead of soy. There are articles that state soy protein promotes health in many areas (look it up). So why did Atkins go and change the formula? Call them and let them know you're dissatisfied like I did.
I called Atkins (800-6ATKINS) and let them know the taste is no longer any good. They said that they changed the following that may have affected taste:
1) Changed from SOY Protein to Dairy (Milk?) Protein
2) Added more cream (which should have just made it thicker)
3) Changed the cocoa formula - which I'm thinking was the killer
They said they need feedback given for them to know if people like it or not (the new formula) - my response was "not like it". The rep said the reason they changed to milk protein instead of soy protein was due to some feedback from women who wanted dairy.
So everyone call in if you don't like it so they can change it back. I used to look fwd to drinking it, now I can't force myself to drink it.

I don't mind them redesigning the container, but why did they reformulate the contents? The old Atkins shakes had a taste and texture that was creamy and deliciously decadent, and satisfied me for several hours. The new formula has less calories and more carbs (doesn't that go against the Atkins principals?) and is watery, flavorless, and I'm hungry again in less than an hour. Being a previously devoted Atkins shake fan, I hate to say this, but Slimfast Low Carb shakes now taste better than the new Atkins shakes. Atkins cost more than Slimfast Low Carb, but they used to be worth it! I do have a hint though, if you add a couple of servings of half-and-half (the kind that are for adding to coffee) to the shake, it helps create a creamier shake that is a bit more satisfying. But why should I have to? Why did they think they had to fix something that wasn't broken?Customer Review: "New & Improved" taste - NOT!

I was a faithful user of the Atkins shakes until they changed the formula a few months ago. I don't know if it's the switch to soy milk or what, but it tastes absolutely disgusting now. It doesn't taste like chocolate! The old ones tasted just like a real chocolate shake and were wonderful. What a disappointment...I won't be buying these anymore until they change back to a better formula.Customer Review: New and improved - UGH!!!!!!

I have never liked the milk chocolate atkins shakes (even though I love milk chocolate) My favourite used to be cafe caramel and mocha. They used to be creamy and delicious, but since they have improved on them they are horrid. I've stopped buying them. I wish they would bring the old formula back, I really miss them.Customer Review: They runined a good product
