AvilutŪ 3-forte is a combination of ingredients which directly influence the eyesight quality and help to protect your eyes. Lutein and Zeaxanthin are present in the Retina and are most concentrated in the so called "yellow spot" (Macula). It works in two ways "like sun glasses" - to protect the retina against damage from intensive sunlight and as an anti-oxidant to catch and destroy free radicals, which can damage the retina. The amount of lutein and zeaxanthin in retina start to rapidly decrease in people over 50 years of age and the amount of both obtainable from vegetable and other food is not sufficient. Also smokers and people exposed to higher environmental pollution need more antioxidants and therefore also more lutein and zeaxanthin. Omega 3 unsaturated fatty acids (EPA, DHA) are present in the photoreceptor cells in retina and protect both the photoreceptors and retina against free radicals, improve the supply of nutrients and also helps lower the risk of inflammation of the retina.
