We use these only when we're traveling overseas or on an outing. Otherwise, we use small cotton napkins that are washable and reusable (about 3 dozens).
Natracare wipes are really the softest, most amazing wipes. My daughter has had super sensitive skin and this is the only wipe I can use on her w/o breaking out. It's clearly because of the cotton and because it does not have all of those chemicals normally found in other products. I love the fact that it's biodegradable.We bought a 5 pack about 6 months ago and we're just now running out. Buy it with confidence. Find an online source that sells it in bulk so you can get a discount. Totally worth the investment and you won't regret it.
And honestly, give cloth wipes a try. We've washed ours hundreds of times and it's saved us probably enough for a round trip airline ticket. Think how many times you wipe a bum, and it costs on average 5 cents a piece! I wet the cloth wipes on my way to the changing table (or keep a bottle with fresh water on the table & squirt water on the wipe). I keep a pail next to the diaper changing table and throw them in. We also cloth diaper and we simply wash them all together. Voila! Save hundreds of dollars and and not harm the environment. Yes, it's more work, but I've been doing it for almost 2 years now, and you get into the habit of it and won't even think twice about it. Cloth diapered babies are much less likely to get diaper rash than babies in disposables. Makes sense, no plastic next to their skin. Anyway, my thoughts on the bigger question of whether we should even use wipes to begin with.
