Well built, solid piece of equipment.
I have two herniated discs and sciatica. At times I take medication to help relieve the pain, get me started first thing in the morning and thru the day. Early morning back pain. Those of you that experience it, no very well what I go thru.
When I received the Back2Life Continuous Motion Massager as a gift
the first thought to myself was, " Oh no, an expensive bottle of snake oil, a gimmick."
I smiled and said thank you because of the intention... They really wanted to help me so much they spent their hard earned cash, in hopes the Back2Life would bring me relief and help me live a better quality of life.
So I read the Amazon reviews and came to the conclusion that it might work for some but not others. I decided to make an honest effort.
First, I watched the included DVD and set the device up to my height and used it every day for one week. At first it really didn't seem to do anything. It really seemed like an expensive joke.
But I promised myself to make an honest effort so I continued. During the first week my early morning pain subsided which enabled me to slowly do some stretching... Trying to touch my toes.
Second week I added 2.5lbs ankle weights as per the instructional DVD (not the Back2Life ones)I purchased the "Green Golds Gym ones" $15 at Walmart. And raised the device two more inches. End of second week, less pain and more flexibility... I can almost touch my toes. I could walk more comfortably and stay on my feet for a longer period of time. Also I stopped feeling that sciatic burn down my side and leg when driving for 45mins+.
Third week, raised the device two more inches so it's set at four inches above my height. Still use the ankle weights and do stretching. I also stand in a doorway ankle weights on and slowly swing my legs, one at a time front to back. I haven't had to take pain medication during the day.
I feel a lot better in the mornings, I can stand up straight without pain and I can touch my toes, it feels so good to touch my toes and stretch...it's been a long time. Now it's a part of my daily routine. I'm slowly starting to live a better more mobile quality of life without medication.
I've been using the Back2Life every day for 5 months now. Each session is about 18 mins. (I let it shut itself off and then press the button again and go 6 more mins. I push down lightly with my calves when the device is pushing me up. I lay down on a foam sleeping bag mat.
It's a stepping stone that releases lower back pressure, relieves pain so you can start to stretch and align your spine.
Advice: Buy from a place that has an easy return policy. Lowest price is desirable only if it works for you. If you're not sure buy the "easy return one" if it works for you, return it and get the cheaper priced one if that's an issue. If it doesn't, you can get your money back.
Watch the DVD and make an honest effort. Give it a few weeks. If it does not work for you at least you gave it your best, but if it does... you get relief... oh the relief... it feels so good. It's a life changer.
