Customer Review: Tough As A Badger, Smells Like A Tangerine

I tend to get very chapped lips in the winter because I live in Minnesota, where the temperatures are punishing in the winter, and also because I am a pilot for an airline, and the air in airplanes is literally drier than the Gobi Desert. Previously I had just tried to drink a lot of water and occasionally use some kind of chapped lip protectant in a tube, which have never pleased me due to the excessive greasiness.
With that in mind I tried the Badger Balm, and can honestly say that this is the best lip balm of any sort that I have ever used. The principal difference seems to be in the formulation: the primary ingredient in most lip emollients is some type of petroleum derived product, but the Badger Balm uses organic extra virgin olive oil as its base, and the differences are startling. The Badger Balm must be put on with a fingertip (which is its only disadvantage; next time I will get the roll-out tube) but it is smooth, easy to apply, totally un-greasy, and smells good. Even though it goes on in a thin layer, it quickly absorbs into the lips and lasts a long time: this is one tough badger. I generally don't like excessive scents, and honestly was wary of the tangerine scent, but it turns out that I was overanxious. The scent is a natural essence from citrus oils, and is very slight and is actually quite pleasing.
If you have problems with chapped lips and don't really like the greasy, petroleum based lip protectants, give this a try. It is definitely the best lip balm I have ever used.
