Customer Reviews of Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Tough-Strips, Extra Large (1.75-Inch Wide), 10-Count Bandages (Pack of 6)Customer Review: I love these huge bandaids Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
these are great for a houseful of active boys! I find myself going through a shocking number of these larger bandaids. the only thing that doesn't make them 5 stars is the fact that they are not latex free.
Customer Review: Big, stretchy, but not super-sticky. Summary: 3 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The Band-Aid Tough Strips in extra large are really are extra large. They are 1.5" wide and nearly 4" long. The pad under the bandage is 1.25" wide and 1.75" long. As such, these bandages are good from large cuts on relatively flat parts of your body. You're not going to be wrapping one of these bad boys around a finger. The band-aids are made of gauze like material and stretch and flex easily. The individual packages are easy to open and won't have you fumbling around when you're trying to open one in a hurry. The only let down about them is that they are no stickier than a normal band-aid. Indeed, they stick well as long as you don't put them over an elbow or another area where you're flexing the band-aid often. They say you are not supposed to use them on sensitive skin, but I didn't have any problems pulling it off the inside of my forearm, which is a pretty sensitive area for me.
All in all... When you've got a big bruise to cover, these flexible band-aids do the job well.
Customer Review: Almost Impossible to Open Wrapper Summary: 2 Stars
There used to be a little red thread on each individual Band Aid wrapper, but they have done away with that and there is no other way to get the band-aid out other than just savagely rip it off. Of course, that often bends or tears the Band-Aid. If there is a better way, they sure don't make any reference to it on the package. You'd think the packaging engineers at J & J would be smart enough to have figured out a user-friendly way to open the darn wrapper. Sadly, other bandage makers are no better. What is it with bandage makers?
Customer Review: Dangerous Summary: 1 Stars
My husband has very thin skin and bleeds easily so I thought this was the perfect band-aid for him. Quite the contrary the first time I used it and took it off of his arm lots of skin came off with it and made a much worse sore than was there originally. This band-aid is much too strong for older people with any type of skin condition. So now I am afraid to use them on anybody. I would avoid buying this product at all costs.
