Customer Reviews of Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Tough-Strips, Extra Large (1.75-Inch Wide), 10-Count Bandages (Pack of 6)

Customer Review: Works as advertised: Really *does* stick
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I suppose one aspect of quality is that something "just works" without any question. That's pretty much the case with these Band-Aid extra-large Tough-Strips.

Unlike reviewing a book or gadget which you can read or try out, reviewing a bandage seemed a little like trying to review an insurance policy: How do you know how good it is until you actually use it, but normally you buy it while hoping *not* to use it. Lacking any serious injuries, and not wanting to wait for one to occur before I reviewed this, I applied one to the upper part of one of my heels: a place that I have gotten severe blisters in the past while hiking, and knowing from experience that any bandage applied to that area tends to get rubbed off before long. Well, after 2 days the Tough-Strip was still there, fully in place, and looking like it might remain forever as a new part of my skin. I then removed it, which was a bit hard because of its tenacity, but to me that's a perfectly-acceptable trade-off.

The only small downside to this product is that if you are not very careful while first applying it, e.g. you accidentally fold some part of it under (easy to do on the narrow adhesive parts that run alongside the main pad), it is difficult to impossible to remedy without leaving a ridge due to parts sticking together. But again I would say that this is just a by-product of what makes this product good.

Bottom line: Works very well in situations where you need a large, extra-tough bandage that you don't have to worry about coming loose. Recommended.

Customer Review: Nothing spectacular - but it is a Band-Aid brand
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
It's hard to review a Band-Aid, but here goes. It is extra wide, and the quality is what you'd expect from a Band-Aid product, as opposed to a no-brand off of a super-discount store shelf. Be aware of just how big these are - they're not designed for wrapping around a little finger. But with the size, they can help protect a reasonably good sized wound better than "standard" size bandages.

Don't use these on sensitive skin! The adhesive does its job very, very well. But when the bandage comes off, it's going to hurt if it's on sensitive skin, or an area with a lot of hair on it.

Overall, a very nice product, one I can comfortably recommend.

Customer Review: Trusted brand I've used for years
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I grew up with these and call everything that does what they do bandaids, whether they are the brand or not. A lot of other types don't stick well or if they do they don't stick for long. I am having to wash my hands frequently at work so have run into a problem with them staying on. These are larger size for those larger cuts or scrapes. Because they are made of more of a cloth-like material than the shiny type of material they are more flexible so will fit better especially around joints. The only negative about them (and it really isn't much of a problem) is if you do get them wet, they stay damp for a longer time. They do stick really well even whey they are wet.

Customer Review: Great for protecting and preventing heel blisters
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I frequently wear stylish but dreadfully uncomfortable shoes. I was using these to protect some blisters I had on the back of my heels and they worked perfectly. The adhesive works well and sticked even through several showers without peeling up at the edges or falling off. They were also nice and thick, providing almost a bit of cushioning between my blister and the shoe. Really liked these.

Customer Review: Bandages which stick well, even under shoes
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
These are large-sized self-sticking bandages which have a cloth backing.

One family member tried them on two blistered heels. They both remained attached, even under all-day rubbing from hard shoes. The edges curled some, but the bandages did not detach.
