Customer Review: So Good They Took It Off the Market

J&J's two-step liquid bandage (2-octylcyanoacrylate) was amazing. You could use it to immediately close up deep cuts without the need of stitches, and create a durable "scablike" covering over big skin abrasions (2" or more) with this product. It is among the most important items you would want in any First Aid kit.
The problem may have been that it worked too well. The folks at J&J must have realized this was giving a lot of power to individuals to treat their own wounds without ER visits (ER docs use a very similiar product), and it eliminated the need for all those expensive and wasteful applications and reapplications of bandages. The MBAs probably took over and reformulated it into the useless single-step version.
Here's a weird thing though: Albertson's Equaline brand had a two-step liquid bandage (n-butyl cyanoacrylate) that they sold as well (Bar Code ID was 41163 44216). That one has also disappeared. Did some lawyers get involved to stop this effective product from staying in consumer hands? Inquiring minds would like to know.
J&J, give us back this two-step liquid bandage! If anyone knows a supplier of a similar product, please let us know here.
