I suffered through numerous doctor appointments trying to find a solution to the chronic dry eye problem I have. I can't tell you how many ointments, drops, salves, etc I went through trying to find a solution and none of them did a thing but further irritate my eyes. Then I found this product (formerly called "night eyes") and thought I'd give it a try. Because its an ointment you simply can't use it during the day as it takes a long time to clear your vision but its perfect for at night. I put the ointment in my eyes at night per the packaging instructions and my dry eye problem is at least 90% better. I can read again! One thing I'm sure of is that this product is a complete winner. I've been treated for chronic dry eyes for 6 months. I've tried all kinds of eye drops, and had punctal plugs inserted. This product is the best, and the one I'll stay with. A combination of mineral oil and petroleum jelly, it literally greases your eyes overnight. No more applying other drops 8-10 times a day !! The only drawbacks -- eyesight is blurry for a few hours when you get up - making it difficult to read, and you really can't do eye make-up - it slides right off. I HAVE TRIED MANY NIGHT EYE OINTMENTS AND BAUSCH & LOMB'S EYE RELIEF IS THE BEST, WITHOUT A DOUBT. IT MOISTURIZES MY EYES WHEN I GO TO SLEEP AND WHEN I AWAKEN, FIND MY EYES HAVE NO SIGN OF DRY EYES. I GO THE ENTIRE DAY AND EVENING WITHOUT THE USUAL BURNING OF DRY EYES AND RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WHO HAS A MILD CASE OF DRY EYES.Customer Review: Needs warming for maximum effect

Works great, but if you find the consistency of the ointment too thick, then dip the tube in medium hot water for 30 seconds. Makes the application of the ointment much easier, because the ointment then is slightly liquid and is able to spread underneath the lower eye lid without getting stuck to the eyelids or eye lashes. Apply within half and hour before bed to lock in moisture during the night. When dipping in medium hot water avoid contamination of tap water with sterile portions of the tube. Don't let water touch the long sterile nozzle or get into the cap. Wake up with moist eyes for a change. Lasts two weeks.
