I suffer from dry eyes from Lasik surgery, exacerbated by spending many hours every day staring at a computer screen. I've tried many many drops, and this stuff is the best I have found so far. When you first apply the drops, your world becomes a little foggy for about a minute (they warn you about this on the label), but you immediately feel a soothing (hence the name) relief from dry eye syndrome. They also last much longer than any other drops I have tried.
I do not believe they are preservative free; at least it does not state that anywhere on the box or the bottle. It also tells you that if the liquid "changes color" to dispose of it, which is a little unsettling. Lastly, they instruct you to make sure you shake the bottle well before applying. I use it once before I go to bed at night and once when I get up in the morning.
Most other drops I've tried provide immediate relief (if that) but in about an hour, you need to re-apply. Not so with this one; one application really does last me for most of the day, if not all day. Even with the lack of a "preservative free" statement and even with the "color change" warning, these are my eye drops of choice. I highly recommend them if you suffer from chronic dry eye syndrome like I do.

Only SootheXP has Restoryl , a special oil-based emulsion that delivers moisture and the lipid replacements that help retain it for up to 8 hours of relief.
