Customer Reviews of Bidanit - The Simple Way to Convert Your Toilet to a BidetCustomer Review: Works great and environmentally friendly! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this in October 2009 and installed it 2-3 weeks after receiving it. The instructions were easy to follow and had almost no problems installing. One minor thing, due to my fault, was had a major leak after initial assembly. Turned out I threaded the toilet fill pipe back in at the wrong angle. Easy fix, just took it out, applied more teflon tape, and put it back in straight this time. No problems since (knock on wood). Another minor thing, which doesn't bother me, is I have an elongated toilet (handi-cap toilet for the extra height), and now the seat doesn't lay flat all the way along the rim. The two "feet" at the hinge end rest on the bidet which keep the front elevated slightly. When sit down it all seems normal, just hope that doesn't do long lasting damage to the bidet by things being squished.
The unit cleans and does the deed really well. Am trying to time those moments to use so don't have to use the sand paper as much anymore. One thing to remember during operation is that sometimes if run too long the water gets very very cold and things go numb. This is primarily true now in the winter up here in the North East, maybe not a problem in other climates.
Other than that, 5 stars from me. Good product and hasn't dissappointed yet.
Customer Review: Works Great - Bought 2! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using the product for about 2 months now and so far, so good. A couple of things to point out:
1) The connection from the water to the tank at my house was a a metal tube, so I had to buy a hose (about $4-5 at local hardware store).
2) The bidanit I received came with an extra t-adaptor that it said to use instead of the one in the original package. However, both of them leaked. So I e-mailed Bidanit and they stated there was a loose fitting inside the adaptor and I could either try tightening it (you need a fairly large hex wrench) or they would send me a new adaptor at no charge. Since I didn't have a large hex wrench, I opted for the replacement and it arrived a few days later and everything worked fine after that - no more leaks!
The device isn't hard to install, but keep a towel underneath where you are working as some water is sure to spill out.
Pros:
- Great Customer Service! Makes all the difference in the world
- You really can do-it-yourself
Cons:
- May need to invest in additional hoses to connect from water supply to tank if you don't have them already
- Shipped with faulty T-adaptor

Customer Review: Neat product - especially for folks accustomed to bidets overseas Summary: 5 Stars
After seeing commercials on Indian TV (SET/ZeeTV) my parents wanted to order a competing product called the Smart Lotta. It is basically the same thing but more than twice as expensive as this. Before they ordered the smart lotta I told them I'd look online for something cheaper. The Bidanit is what I found.
This thing works exactly as advertised. Installation was straightforward (15-20mins). Not tools needed except to loosen the toilet seat hinges (eww) to get the device under them. It comes with two spray nozzles, one is a sharp stream the other is more diffuse. You choose which one you want and put the other one away. One thing i like is that you can adjust the level of water spray with a knob. Other competing products look like it's just an all or nothing lever.
For 30 dollars this thing is pretty decent. Some parts feel a little flimsy so we'll have to see how well it holds up. However, I dont anticipate any issues if used in a home setting (this is by no means a commercial grade product). Overall, I would recommend that you give this a try if you are interested in an inexpensive bidet conversion solution.
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this item early Jan and have been using it for about 3 weeks. It works great and keeps you really clean. I am an Asian and have used hand showers before, but this is more effective and easier to use.
The difficult part for me in the installation was not the bidet, but unscrewing the plastic toilet seat screws, and closing the rusted flush tank valve. This was an issue because I live in an old apartment which has some non-standard stuff. I finally managed to close the value with a plier - make sure the value is FULLY closed before you begin installation, else you will have water all over the toilet. As for the bidet, since many reviewers had written about leaks, I used the teflon, and there are no issues so far - the installation was also easy.
Initially we looked at a few pricier products and were a little skeptical about this one; but we are really satified with this and plan to buy another for the other toilet.
Customer Review: I love this bidet Summary: 5 Stars
For the price, this is a great product. Easy to install, I did it myself.... and once again I had a bidet in my bathroom. If you have been accustomed to what a bidet can do for your personal hygiene, being without one is sheer hell.... it's such a nice "extra" to have. I had missed it and had lost all hope of ever having one again once we moved back to the US. Plus, being in a rented apartment you don't get bidets anywhere..... I had resigned myself. However, I saw this product while online searching and was amazed yet I thought "what could you expect from such a low price product, surely nothing close to what the real thing could be, right?".... well, it comes pretty close. The ONE drawback is that there is no way to get warm or hot water on this since toilets aren't fitted for this and installing a bidet with this feature is considerably more expensive, but if you're alright with cool water, this product is almost perfect. Works quite well too.
