My girls do NOT like loud noises, and we don't like being awakened at the crack of dawn! This was the perfect solution. We just tell the girls (they are 3 1/2 yo twins) not to come into Mommy and Daddy's room until the light comes on. If they wake up early they just talk or sing in their room until the light comes on. If they're really tired the slow brightening of the light is kind of a built in snooze. They have slept right through it before, but usually after about 15 minutes it's bright enough to really wake them up. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The SunRise Clock Junior will appeal to parents with young children. As the sunset feature dims the light in the evening, your child is encouraged to slip into sleep, perhaps while watching the sun and moon shadows on the wall which the clock projects. At parental discretion, the clock fades to 5% illumination to serve as a nightlight, so the children can be checked at night. Fade up and fade down take 30 minutes to complete from full brightness.
