I don't see any reason to compare Blistex to other "no-name" lip balms, but compared to Chap-Stick, I prefer it. This particular package is a really good value. We needed 36 count for stuffing care packages over the Christmas holiday. But I have purchased the same product indivually before and unlike Chap-Stick, it doesn't get quite so soft in your pocket. I believe it is also better at preventing fever blisters, but you need to do more research on that.
