Customer Review: This is a pretty good lube, but it gave me a BIG problem

For some crazy reason, I love hybrid (mix of Water-Based and Silicone) lubes and I've gotten addicted to buying them, lol. I've seen a lot of reviews on this from a bunch of different websites, and like most others, I wondered what all the crazy hype was about, so I decided to test Liquid Silk out and got it here on Amazon, for a really good deal on a 2-pk, which was really great. When I decided to try this out, there was a nagging issue from the jump start. What keeps this from being 5 stars, is the pump. As gently as I possibly could, I turned the pump so it would open, and on both bottles, the pump flew off. I had a difficult time trying to get it back on, and lost only a small portion of lube. I never got the pump to function correctly, so I ended up throwing the pump on both bottles in the garbage. My solution for this, is that I'm buying a pump dispenser of my own, that I automatically know will work. That way, when I buy this lube again, it's not staying in the original bottle it comes in.
Anyway, as for the lube itself, it really does look like actual c** and feels like it too. It stayed pretty slick and didn't get sticky at all. There was no irritating scent or after-effect from using it. I can see myself using this a lot more than Wet Synergy, which is another great hybrid lube I use, but that one feels a bit too wet for me after using it sometimes. Liquid Silk feels really good to use and I will eventually buy more, so hopefully Amazon continues to carry it. Besides the strange, malfunctioning pump, I definitely recommend Liquid Silk.

This is one of the best lubes I have ever purchased. Being slightly like lotion, it doesn't evaporate easily, and can be wiped off easily (although it does leave a little bit of a greasy feeling. It also seems to make things more sensitive (my husband and I have both noticed this), so it's good for couples to use, and not just with toys. It doesn't have a noticeable odor (as I've noticed with other lubes and lotions, I have a sensitive nose, and have smelled others after they've been used, when I wasn't in the room), and can clean off of fabrics well.
I'd say the only problem is it has a rather bitter taste, so I wouldn't suggest anything oral after using this, unless you have something else to cover up the flavor.

I have tried many different lubes in the past and this by far is my favorite. It not as oily as gun oil and not sticky like KY (ick!). However I find it does need to be reapplied. I exclusively used this product for a fleshlight toy and it will deteriorate the fleshlight material over time by making it sticky. The Liquid Silk product does not live up to it's claim of being water-based BECAUSE IT IS NOT!!! I wondered why my fleshlight was getting "Sticky" from time to time use so quickly and found out why: when I filled my bathroom sink with water and rinsed the toy with the lubricant I could see clouds that were floating on the water at an angle with the help of my bathroom lighting.
Don't tell me I didn't warn you, this product is not "water-based" and the ingredients lists many chemicals and preservatives along with it. It also does get TACKY and it does SMELL BAD!
I never used this with a partner, so I can't tell you on that part.

This product feels abrasive, not at all like silk. I threw both bottles out and purchased Kama Sutra's Sweet Almond Oil, which does in fact feel like silk.
