I've heard about all the wonderful uses of arnica for bruising and muscle soreness. I have to say after using this product for a month or so (for both muscle stiffness/soreness and bruising) I have not found it helpful. As for the stiffness: I have a lot of soreness in my lower back and shoulder. I used the arnica 1-3 times per day for about a week and felt no improvement. I will continue to use it because I know sometimes herbal remedies take a bit longer to see an effect.
As for bruising: I applied the arnica the day after bumping into something I knew would bruise up, and did not see any significant difference in the amount of bruising or the speed that the bruise faded. I used the arnica another time immediately after bumping my head quite hard (I'm a klutz). I continued to apply the gel every couple of hours. I also applied some ice and did not get a bruise or a bump. I think the combination of the arnica and ice really helped. I also think the key with arnica is that it needs to be applied IMMEDIATELY after injury (whether it be from a bump or exertion). I keep the gel in my purse so I am always prepared.
This is a good formula, too. Non-greasy and dries quickly. No scent.
Even though I did not experience relief from my back pain, I would still recommend this product because each individual is different and if it works, I think it works well.

Arnica Gel 2.6 oz.
I ordered this because a French friend swears that arnica helps bruises heal faster than they would otherwise. At first I was feeling very positive about the product but ulitmately, felt the bruise took just as long to heal as any other bruise I have ever had ... The gel is soothingly cool tho'.

I had a minor knee injury, decided to try this gel. Yes, it absorbs well and it is not greasy, but it just does not do anything. Moreover I was taking arnica pills (little white balls) at the same time to have more effect and looks like it also did not do anything.
Kind of disappointed.... wasted time and money

I purchased this product for bruising on my face and it had absolutely no effect whatsoever. This product does not work on bruises as advertised on the label.
