Braun has always been one of the best shavers. I've had mine for several years now. I almost bought a new one when I realized I could replace the head and blades fairly inexpensively. I was a little skeptical at first, but that changed when I switched out with the new head and blades. Thats all it needed. It is as good as new and I saved about 100 bucks over relacing the whole thing. It is a no brainer in my opinion.Customer Review: If this is your right replacement then it is a must to buy !!!

I have had this razor for a while and stopped using it because it was starting to hurt. I didn't realize I should have replaced the blade a while ago. I bought this replacement and feel in love with this razor all over again. I think it works better then when I bought it. The new foil design and higher quality blade design make this so much better than the OEM version.Customer Review: Worth remembering to replace

I put a recurring reminder on my Google Calendar every 18 months to replace the cutter block and I am always glad I change it as I can tell the difference with the new blade and screen. Results: A smoother, closer shave.The one I just got even seems to be a little more sturdy than the previous one, with the blades being slightly thicker, and the block more cushioned.Customer Review: Works perfectly with the Braun 8585

After reading some reviews that recommended this replacement instead of the newer one for my old Braun 8585, I gave it a shot. It works perfectly. I've had my shaver for about five years and I don't remember the last time I replaced the cutting block, but this is giving me a noticably better/closer shave. Rec'd this & noticed it looked different from the Syncro foil I was replacing. Upon looking at it with a magnifying glass, it has the "honeycomb" pattern used on the Activator series of shavers! It gives a better shave and I was pleased to be able to update and upgrad my Syncro to the new Activator performance. Cutter block looks the same (but has for years).
