I like the idea of having a razor that is always sterile. The easy replacement of the cleaning module helps me make sure I keep the system ready for use. I generally clean the razor each time I shave. Being able to order the cleaning modules on-line means I don't ever have to worry about where to find them. They each last a long time and they ensure me that the shave is clean. I wanted the convenience of buying these from my computer and a low price and I got both. Now that Amazon has lowered the price to less than $4 each, this is a very good deal. Better than you can get at Target, Walmart, etc.
I think these refills make the Braun Syncro shaving system the best out there. Nothing like a fresh, lemony, sanitary shave every morning. I have noticed an improvement in my complexion since going to this system.
So far my refills have been lasting 5-6 weeks each, which helps to increase the value and lower the cost.

I hate having to buy these, because you are essentially paying for a piece of filter material and some alcohol. Still, once your shaver goes through the cleaning cycle, it comes out feeling brand new, and shaves like new as well. The liquid contains a lemon scent and some lubricant for the razor, and the end result is almost worth the high price.
To get a better deal, use the Amazon subscribe and save option, I get mine shipped every 6 months, and save 15%.

The refills arrived faster than I'd expected - nice work Amazon! They are exact replacement refills for the cleaning system of my Braun Activator 8000 series shaver. Amazon's price for the package of 3 refills beat most every other place I checked. I keep the shaver in my car during the week, then brush it out on the weekend before using the cleaning system. That keeps the cost of the cleaning fluid reasonable and the shaver still works very well all week long.Customer Review: A clean shaver whenever you need it....

I was a skeptic of this system when I purchased my last Braun razor, but I must admit it is nice. It is another "subscription" cost, but my razor is always clean and my wife no longer complains about whisker "dust". Does anybody know where one can purchase these in bulk for a lower price per unit?
I would like for Braun to make the cleaning operation less noisy, however. My wife now complains about the grinding noise that it makes, alas....
