This is a great little shaver as a backup for your plug in, or for travel when you don't want to hassle with plug/voltage converters. AA batteries are available anywhere. The only drawback to these is when the batteries start to die, but I swap them out with fresh ones, and the used batteries will run the small LED flashlight I carry for a long time. The translucent green color is cool as a bonus, and the cover prevents the unit from turning on in your luggage. I can't tell you how many times I've heard a vibrating noise emanating from someone's luggage at baggage claim.
