Customer Reviews of Braun PocketGo P-70 Men's ShaverCustomer Review: Everything it promises to be Summary: 5 Stars
This shaver is well built and intelligently thought out. I did not want to bring my $100 big heavy recent make Panasonic wet/dry shaver with accessory charger and cord when I made trips so I was researching all kinds of alternatives including disposable razors.
Because of the way this shaver is designed, you can travel without an extra case, without the cumbersome charger, and it even has a cleaning brush built in. I find the single foil allows me to shave without shaving cream, something else I don't have to bring. However, if you would like to shave this way, the unit is waterproof!
When the unit is closed for travel, it can't accidentally turn on in your travel luggage and leave you with an un-powered unit when you desperately need a shave. And you can be on any length trip as long as you can get a pair of AAs, you have a shaver ready to rock and roll!
The shave is fantastic. I think it's about the same as my $100 unit (maybe better) and I am in pure shock because I bought this unit from Amazon for $11.99. No kidding. If the shave sucked, I would be the first to tell you. I just take my time, don't jam the razor into my face, and shave carefully and slowly like I would with a blade. And the results are more than satisfactory for me.
When this unit dies, I will buy another one. I highly recommend this unit. Yes, I know it's insane, how can something so unbelievably cheap be getting such rave reviews, but it's all true. This travel shaver is a GEM.
Customer Review: Very Impressive, excellent deal! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used a blade for 26 years and during that time only tried an electric shaver 3 times (a Remington a Philips and something else). After each electric shave my skin was so irritated I figured I would never be able to use one. I could not get past the pain to continue using one.
While shopping for one as a gift I read reviews for shavers from the big players (Braun, Remington, Philips/Norelco) and thought "hey, for $20 may be I'll give it another try". So I did.
I am very impressed with this travel shaver. My skin had only very slight irritation the first time I tried it and that was it - regular blade shaving was starting to get very irritating in those sensitive areas (neck and around the mouth) probably due to the fact that stubble seems to turn into wire with age. It's not quite as close a shave like a good razor gives but not too far from it (and don't forget this is an inexpensive travel shaver so some of Braun's more expensive shavers are probably closer yet)!
From what I can gather no one shaver can get every single hair (neck being perhaps the toughest spot) but a single wipe with a blade can get those.
So if you're ready for a new experience (or just need a new shaver) check out Braun's line and reviews on various sites. My guess is that if the reviews are above a 4 out of 5 you probably can't go too wrong.
I'm using this as a daily (shavers are basically a daily touchup kinda thing). I love it and my skin is loving it too!
Customer Review: Travel Shaver?? How about an "EVERYDAY" shaver!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been having problems shaving ever since I joined the Navy at age 18. Having course, curly facial hair, I constantly had to deal with painful ingrown hairs and irritation. So, over the next 12 years, I ended up tried just about everything from top of the line Disposables, expensive safety and straight razors and even laser hair removal. But nothing seemed to work.
I have also had my share of electric shavers and clippers. Over the years, I've grown disappointed with the quality of electric shaves. They either didn't cut all of the hair, which lead to ingrown hairs or really irritated my face, which lead to ingrown hairs :(
After reading the reviews about the PocketGo p-70 and after seeing the price of it, I'd figured that I would give it a shot.
Much to my surprise, this little, inexpensive shaver gives me the best shave that I ever had. Granted, I had to train my face, such as removing all of the current ingrown hairs that I had and using a facial scrub to help remove all of the harden skin, from razor shaving, off of my face. Note: being that my facial skin was hard, my facial hair difficulty breaking the surface and with either lay flat against my face or curl back under. I also used a electric eyebrow shaver to the trim the hairs that were too long for the razor to cut. After doing this for about a week, my face has completely cleared up and with no signs of irritation. I use the razor, as my primary shaver, everyday and would highly, highly recommend it.
Customer Review: One Cool Little Razor... Summary: 5 Stars
I've used electrics for decades, and have always been fond of the name BRAUN. This mighty "mite" doesn't disappoint!
My old corded Braun gave up the ghost after 15+ years of daily use, which is not too bad, but I then had to rely on cordless razors.
While my "standard" razor is a Remington rechargeable, this sweetheart of a mini-razor is simply beyond belief.
With only TWO AA batteries, it can take on MY stubble, and that tasks the best of the cordlesses on a good day.
The micro screen is slick and glides across the face, and even makes negotiating those "turns" easier (along the neck & jawline).
I would have to say that if I were out camping, or even in the military doing some bivouac, THIS IS the razor to use!
It's easy to replace the batteries, has a great sideburn trimmer, has an auto lock swivel top to keep the head protected, and is overall a finely engineered razor. I'm kind of amazed at the design. It's years beyond all comers.
It's not as quiet as other electrics, but you have to sacrifice something for the power it displays, so that's not a biggie. It IS quieter than most CORDED shavers. My Remington is MUCH noisier, so this is a welcome addition to my arsenal of shaving ordnance.
I recommend it to everyone that needs a good razor, and has little room to carry one.
It's one of the better deals in new technologies these days, dollar for dollar.

Customer Review: always on the road Summary: 5 Stars
Im an over the road truck driver and a road trip biker, I need a small compact razor that fits into my shaving kit is easy to use and tough enough to stand the abuse of ridding around for thousands of miles in heavy trucks and motorcycle saddle bags.
For more then 30 years Braun razors have met the challange and given me good service.
The Braun P70 is my third Braun (2-AA) battery operated razor.
My last Braun was more then 15 yrs old before it quit working and a tough unit it was indead.
I am very pleased with the improvements made to the P70 over my older models. The P70 is a more substantial unit and address the problem the old one had of accidently being turned on while being jared around in my vehicles. This can't happen with the P70 as when the swing cover is in place it locks the off/on control. The head on the P70 is also a stronger unit then the one on my older model.
I especially like the new modern looks of the P70, it's slightly bigger and it has better, tougher feel to it. The head and cutter can also be washed in water, which also lends it's self well to backpacking and camping.
This is a quality unit and I reccomend it to any one that want's a compact razor that can stand up to rough treatment, run for longer then you can believe on a set of good batteries and give a quality shave.
