Customer Reviews of Braun PocketGo P-70 Men's ShaverCustomer Review: Greatest travel quik shaver Summary: 5 Stars
I like it so muchI tracked it down online to buy another one-I originally bought one from Wally world for about 10 bucks, so i was happy to see the price on here was close.
In fact I think alot of people know about them cause recently last year my car was broken into and they stole my cd player, AND MY BRAUN TRAVEL SHAVER!!! I was CRUSHED! I filed a report for the cd player but i was outta luck for the shaver--but com on- really- why do you got to steal another mans electric shaver?!?! I'm glad I found it again and I can't wait to get it in the mail--The other best part is that you CAN replace the battery! Unlike alot of cordless trimmers and such that cost pretty pennies to replace or repair-these little shavers ARE Fabulous and I don't mind going down to the dollar store and picking up another pack of batteries and get shaving thanks Braun for a great product-and thanks Amazon for reuniting me with a lost love.
Customer Review: The best for less Summary: 5 Stars
I owned an earlier version of this razor for some time. I eventually had to relinquish it to my girlfriend as she ws constantly using it to shave her legs. So I bought the newer version for myself. Needless to say, since I purchased two of them, that I think this is an outstanding product. I regularly shave with a blade, but keep this shaver in my car for touch-ups in the evening, or when I'm in a big rush in the morning. It shaves as well, or better than some high dollar Braun and Panasonic shavers I have owned in the past. It certainly blows away anything Norelco has to offer. It shaves close with no irritation. I think the single head design allows it to get into tight areas much better than a dual head model.
Hey, look...we're talking about $12.00 here. That's the cost of a few refills for a decent blade razor. You should own this shaver, if not for a primary, at least for a back-up.
Customer Review: Best shaver in the world Summary: 5 Stars
I use to use lather and a safety razor but my skin was always raw and I could only shave every other day until I discovered electric shavers. Braun makes the best razors but they are expensive. I found the early version of P-70 in a bin at Wal-Mart for $17 so I bought two. When these wore out - the foil that touches you face will go before the razor will but a replacement will cost you more than a new razor complete - I bought ten more on line to save on shipping. I put them everywhere - one in my car, one in my knap sack etc. That version had a trimmer that slid up and was perfect for the hairs you always miss on your neck. This newer version looks decidedly better but the trimmer slides sideways, not up, and is a pain to use - a definite step backwards - but I got two with free shipping for $15 each and am happy to have them. It runs on batteries and you can use it anywhere. Awesome.
Customer Review: Impressive Summary: 5 Stars
My boss got one of these for his birthday, and was showing it off. I have always used Norelco rotary shavers in the past (someone told me that foil shavers cause more skin irritation) and have never gotten a good shave with them, so for the past number of years, I have been using a Mach3. After seeing his 370, I decided to try one... since it was such a low price, I figured I had nothing to lose. Turns out I get less skin irritation with this shaver than with a rotary or a blade! In fact, it worked so well that I decided to get a "real Braun shaver" and bought a higher end model. This little 370 gives almost as good of a shave as my more expensive Braun (8975)! I will still use the 8975 for most of my shaving needs, but the 370 will be a great touch-up and travel shaver. As most people say, you can actually use it on an every day basis! I'm going to buy another one just to store away for later!
Customer Review: A great little shaver Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought this recently, and have used it only a few times. But, having used Norelco's for the last 35 years, this is my first foil, and I'm very impressed. A close shave. Quiet enough. Intelligent design to lock the on/off button when not in use, and to protect the head. A decent pop up trimmer. No cleaning brush included, but I have extras from my numerous Norelcos I have purchased over the years.
Runs off 2 AA's which is why I bought it, so I can take it camping or wherever and not have to worry about some battery needing AC to recharge it pooping out in the middle of nowhere. I'm told they last a month or so of use.
I'm not sure if the cutter or foil is replaceable. Given the price it may be a moot point. Not good for the environment to toss it so quickly, but then with just occasional use they should last several years anyway.
