This is the first time after years that I have purchased an epilator again, and I was expecting the same painful loud machines that I used to use in the 90s. I must say I am very positively surprised, it was almost pain free (I must add I am not very sensitive and used to the old torturing machienes) but if you can deal with the pain of waxing you can for sure deal with this.
It's very light, does not heat up too fast and is not annoyingly loud. The massage head is a nice add but I prefer the normal head because it does not miss so many hairs. If you like the epilator hair removal technique this is a great product for a great price. I had to spend about 30-40 minutes because it does miss some very fine short hairs, but I think that's the case with all of these products, and I prefer spending a little bit more time but know that I will be hair free for at least 2 weeks.

I love this product. It works great. I've used a Braun epilator for a couple of years now and purchased this model for my 13 yr old daughter. It's been comfortable for her right from the first use. (Hint: Shave with a razor before the first use, then use the epilator on new growth. Long hair hurts!) I use this epilator on my legs, underarms, and on the bikini area. The bikini area is most tender and will take getting used to. It's worth it, though, because there will be no rash nor ingrown hairs. After repeated use, hair grows back thinner each time and now, after 2 years, I hardly have to "shave" at all. With the few hairs that do grow back, I can literally pull them out with my fingers because the follicles are so loose. Initially, you'll feel the action and some discomfort, but after a few uses, there is zero pain and now I actually have to look to verify that I even "shaved".Customer Review: It Really Works!!

When I ordered this epilator, I was wary that it would not really perform despite the good reviews it had gotten. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It works great!! I used it on my legs on high speed. My legs were dry and I held the skin taut. I felt a tickly pulling sensation, but it really wasn't what I would consider painful. It's noisy, and it isn't cordless, but except for those two imperfections, I'm really happy with the epilator. My legs feel and look great! I had to use the epilator a second time about a week later since all the hairs don't grow at the same time. But after the second use, my legs have felt smooth. I have not tried on other areas of my body. I use the Seiko Cleancut for the bikini/personal area, but u might be able to use this epilator for that area too -- not sure. I like the epilator very much for my legs. I think it does a great job!!Customer Review: Better than any alternative

Ok, granted this is the only epilator I've ever tried - I still maintain it's better than shaving, waxing or plucking. It goes incredibly FAST! The pain is not much worse than with waxing, and it really only hurts the first time. If you use this gadget whenever hairs start growing in (to maintain), the subsequent uses don't hurt at all. I didn't really notice a difference between the two attachments - one with massaging rollers and the other without.
The biggest complaint I saw when reading reviews before I bought this was ingrown hairs, but that problem is not unique to this epilator or even epilators in general. This device was fantastic at pulling hairs out by the root. I could tell when I was cleaning it out. As others have recommended, ingrown hairs can be avoided if you exfoliate and moisturize after each use.

I hesitated for months before buying this product because I was afraid of the pain. However, I became frustrated with the expense and inconvenience of waxing, so I finally took the plunge. I am so glad I did!
I use this epilator every day or so, usually right after I shower. This approach gets rid of the hair as it grows in, so there's never too much--which is great for keep my appearance high and the discomfort level low. I've used it on my legs, bikini line, underarms--and my face!--with great results.
I haven't been to the salon for waxing since I bought this great little gadget--a savings of close to $300, so it's more than paid for itself. Plus it's saved me time and annoyance. I wish I had purchased it sooner!
