I found this razor to be the best one I have ever used! Having sufferd from the "Fred Flintson Effect"(i.e. perminate 5'0clock shadow) all of my life, I have always found it hard to get a close shave, and would always end up with razor burn and having to shave twice a day. WIth this razor, and a little effort, I get a really close, smooth shave which last the day! The charge is quick and last a long time. It is easy to clean, so you constintly get a better shave. FOR THE PRICE and all around quality, you can't beat this razor!Customer Review: TRW

This is the first electric shaver that I've bought in about 30 years. Always used a manual razor. After a week of use (giving time for my beard to adjust) and using electro shave, I was surprised how close it shaved, as good as a straight edge. It is also very easy to clean and it holds a charge for a couple of weeks. The only fall back that I found, after I bought it, was if you need to replace the foil/cutter they cost as much as the shaver $30.00. This is my second Braun shaver. First one was discontinued, so I couldn't get a replacement foil. I suggest you order a spare when you buy the shaver. I was somewhat concerned about whether or not a shaver this inexpensive would be worth the effort to order, even though I had noted some positive feedback - but the temptation was too great. Boy and I glad that I did. Why would anyone want to spend hundreds of dollars when this fine machine is available for a fraction of the cost? Does everything well that I need and it seems to stay charged for at least 2-3 weeks. I would not have been disappointed if I'd paid 2-3X the price - GREAT product for the price!Customer Review: Great price for a great Braun

The title says it. This is the best price for the best Braun I've had since my first one in Germany 15 years ago. Close shave, not hard on my face, and I like the toggle on/off push button. It's a little louder than some other electrics, but I don't buy electric razors to be quiet - I buy them for a great shave, which this one provides. I found it under two names, though, even within the same store - Freecontrol 1775 and Series 1 190. Seems to be the same razor, as I found this same issue at two stores.
