I bought this blade and cutter replacement for my 8595 razor, as its original replacement apparently has been discontinued and the new part (Series 5, 51S) gets bad reviews for shaving quality and how long the part lasts. Several reviewers mentioned that this replacement, originally for the 7000 series, works as well for the 8000 series shavers as their original cutter and blade. My fiance wanted me to have as clean a shave as I used to have and bought me the 7000 series replacement. Big mahalo to previous reviewers recommending this as a replacement for the Activator razors. I steered clear of the newest Activator replacements based upon poor reviews, and this replacement works well and is considerably cheaper. Happy to get my razor "back to new" but the price seemed a bit high for a shaver that only cost about $50. The parts did make the shaver back into a useful razor.
