I had tried the original breathe rights when they came out and was not overly impressed. Happened to catch a commercial for this version and remembered it at the store causing me to pick up a box. They are much more substantial than the originals.
As someone who suffers from some allergies and night stuffiness as well as someone who has had deviate septum surgery (which also helped a lot) I still had some issue with stuffiness and breathing at night - particularly when laying on my right side for some reason. These strips make a huge difference for me. The difference is very noticeable. I find I can lay on either side with no difference in breathing. Not sure if they have helped with snoring and such, as my wife reports that still occurs at times.
I truly feel like these have improved my sleep. IF you have tried the old ones and were not impresses, you may want to give these another look.
