Customer Review: Expectations and Preparation - Will you breathe right or not??

Working with Breathe Right takes a little practice. But once in place as directed, they really do a fantastic job of opening up the airway (nares) from a nasal standpoint. If you have other upper airway problems that get in the way of breathing, these probably won't help you. I had a deviated septum and a septoplasty 6 months ago. The Breathe Right strips gave me moderate relief before the surgery and now they give me excellent relief from allergies and occasional stuffiness.
You can't expect a miracle from Breathe Right strips, but they are worth a try if you have some stuffiness from allergies and just need to mechanically open up your nostrils a little wider. This is what they were meant to do and this is what they do very well.
A tip I learned to ensure they stay on and don't peel off easily.
1) Clean your nose with an alcohol swab BD Alcohol Swabs - 3 Boxes of 100 or soap and water. Alcohol is quick and easy though and really does the trick. Let the alcohol dry before placing the strip on your nose.
2) Place the strip at the exact angle as suggested in the directions. You may have to experiment with sizes. For me, a Large is best.
Remember, preparation and expectations play a lot into finding out if the Breathe Right method will work for you. Be realistic but also don't be afraid to try. They may be a wonderful adjunct to other therapies or they just might do the trick all by themselves.
