Customer Reviews of Burts Beeswax Lip Balm - 0.15 ozCustomer Review: GREAT lip Balm! And, if you're inventive... Summary: 5 Stars
...and attentive, you'll notice that you get twice as much in the tin as you do the tube version, for the same price. I buy a few of the Burt's Bees lip balm tubes and, when they're empty, I put my candlemaking skills to use with the tins of Burt's Bees lip balm that I've bought:
Get a pair of visegrips, and adjust them so that they snugly hold the tin. You'll want to squeeze the tin lightly to make a tiny v-shaped pouring spout for refilling the tubes. I heat up one of my electric burners over low heat, place the tin on it until the wax begins to melt, then I carefully place the visegrips around the tin to hold it for pouring over the empty tubes (try not to touch the hot tin to the plastic tube, unless you want a jagged edge to your tube. I know I don't). Even if you have steady hands, like I do, you'll still end up spilling a few drops of the melted balm, but once you've refilled the tubes, recapped them, and let them sit to cool, those old tubes will be as good as new!
You get two for the price of one with these tins and a few empty balm tubes, with no quality loss. And, if you're thinking of melting these over a candle, don't do it - I've tried that, and if you don't mind getting ash into your balm, go right ahead. Otherwise, the smoke will collect on the bottom of the tin, and simply discolor your fabulous Burt's Bees balm. And nobody wants that!
Customer Review: Burt, I Heart You! Summary: 5 Stars
Ah, the scent of peppermint is one of my favorites, and Burt's Bees lip balm has kindly taken that scent, admired by most, and used it beautifully in it's lip balm. When they say they have the best lip balm in the world, they aren't lying.
One of my classmates was using this, saying it was a really good product, and would always use it. When I went to camp, they had this at the store, and I suddenly remembered it. I quickly grabbed a tube, and I am very pleased with it.
Burt's uses all-natural ingredients in its products, but the main thing they use is - of course!- beeswax. It is a good foundation to work on, and has done wonders for my lips. They would often crack and bleed, and I couldn't find a lip balm that was nice smelling, and didn't feel too greasy when you applied it. All the products for females were usually either the flavored stuff, or carmex, and I didn't want to use either. But thanks to Burt, the world of lip balm (as well as beauty products themselves) has been changed.
It does everything a good lip balm should do - smell good, be light and non-greasy, tasteless, (so you aren't tempted to lick it off), and softens your lips. Now I take it with me were ever I go!
Simply, you must try Burt's. He truly has the best lip balm out there.
Customer Review: Deep freeze kisses Summary: 5 Stars
The Beeswax lip balm is probably the most famous and well know product that people come across from this brand. I have been a happy user of this light and tingly healer combating anything from dryness to chapped lips or as a great primer for lipstick or gloss for many years now and I am delighted to see it doing so well. I usually buy the tube version, because sometimes when my hands aren't spotless I don't like to dip my finger into a tin of balm that is meant to go on my mouth. I'm one of those people who are picky about good quality products and I shop for lip balm every time I see something catch my eye. Having tired so many through out the last few years I find that some are way more memorable than others and this one is exactly that.
Ingredients in the tube formula are Beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower oil, tocopheryl acetate & tocopheryl, lanolin, peppermint oil, comfrey root extract and rosemary extract creating a tingling and ice like sensation. It's great relief for hot summer days or chilly winter nights and I wear it all day long. For those who prefer a sweeter and not minty version I recommend the Honey Beesewax balm, that tastes like brown sugar, caramel and gooey golden honey.

Customer Review: the best lip balm you'll ever use Summary: 5 Stars
As a child growing up in the harsh winters of the midwest plains, I always thought that Carmex was the final word on lip balm. This was the case for 20 years -- until I discovered the Burt's Bees lip balm. The ingredients are: coconut oil, beeswax, sweet almond oil, lanolin, "vitamin E", comfrey root extract, and rosemary extract. Compare these to your normal lip balm -- which would you rather use?
But not only is it all-natural and not tested on animals, it actually REALLY works! The mint seems to stimulate blood flow to the lips, while the beeswax provides a moisture barrier (much like wearing moisturizing gloves on your hands after applying night cream) to prevent the moisture from evaporating. The product is all-natural, which, considering you eat a little bit of it whenever you consume food or drink, is a good thing!
Once you try this lip balm, you'll never go back to what you were using before. Note: You can get this in a standard tube (like what is shown), or you can buy it in a tin (you get double the amount -- .30 oz).
