My dentist has always emphasized the importance of flossing, which I just don't like to do. So he introduced me to this product a number of years ago, and I have been using it ever since; for me it is easier than flossing.
This works great to remove plaque and food particles. My dental hygiene improved noticeably after I started using it. I have always been prone to gum problems, but fortunately my daily use of this product has made those problems a thing of the past.
This product comes in different thicknesses (thin, medium, and wide) since the space between your teeth can vary. This is the thin thickness, which I use only for a few teeth where the space is really tight. I use medium for most of my teeth, and wide for a couple. It's not a big deal to switch sizes.
There is no time limit on when you must change these, though I usually change them once a week. However, you need to be a little careful when using this because if you bend it, then it really does not continue to work well even if you straighten it out by hand.
Shop for price. I buy this at my local CVS or Walgreens because the price is much less than that on Amazon with the shipping cost.
