Customer Review: Vacuum Seal the Gel Pack - Lasts FOREVER!

I own the Hot/Cold Gel Packs in a variety of sizes including the 10x15 inch size. I too have had trouble with the gel packs leaking from time to time. Considering the fact that the gel packs are folded, leaned on, squished and reshaped over and over, I am not surprised that they would eventually leak (and occasionally leak right away due to a defective package).
The Fix?
If you have a Food Storage Vacuum System/Machine (any of the many popular brands), you can put your Hot/Cold Gel Pack in a freezer storage bag and vacuum-seal it.
I put my "leaking" 10x15 inch Gel Pack in an 11-inch-wide vacuum-seal freezer-food-bag and cut it to just a little longer than the gel pack. I used my food storage vacuum machine to remove the air and seal the extra thick vacuum-seal bag. Note: I use the 8-inch-wide bags to seal the smaller Gel Packs when/if they leak.
I now have a "virutally new" Hot/Cold Gel Pack that will not leak on my clothes or furniture. Because I vacuum-sealed the Gel Pack, the Leak is now effectively sealed off as well.
The vacuum-seal food storage bags are water-proof and can be microwaved, frozen and washed in the sink with dish detergent when they get dirty.
You never have to throw your Hot/Cold Gel Packs away again!
Additional Tip: Vacuum seal emergency supplies like matches, tissue, food, extra medication, clothing, et al., in case of earthquake, flood, etc.
