The gag has been a part of BDSM play since...well, probably forever, and among the many types of gag is the ball gag. The Gator Restraints Ball Gag is a variation on the normal ball gag in that its ball is actually similar to a wiffle ball - it is a hollow plastic ball with good sized holes in it. This variation allows the movement of air and fluids.
OK, let me take a step backward. A major problem with most gags is that they restrict the flow of air, which can result in asphyxiation if the wearer is asthmatic or has a cold or similar condition that causes an even partial blocking of airflow through the nose. Another major problem is that if the wearer vomits for any reason, the fluid cannot leave the body and will most likely be forced into the victim's lungs - an often fatal occurrence.
With the Gator Restraints Ball Gag, the wearer can draw some air in through the mouth, and can, if necessary, vent fluid out. Does this sound too clinical? Well, this is an important consideration when a couple is deciding whether or not add a gag to their BDSM toys.
The Gator Restraints Ball Gag is comfortable for a ball gag, nice and small, and yet surprisingly effective. And, the attaching strap is narrowed at the ball, reducing or eliminating painful pulling on the corners of the mouth.
