I got one of these bands because of all medical informtion would not fit on regular med-alert necklace and bracelet. I love the idea that all my information is available to a paramedic, hospital and doctor and they do not have to go searching for med-alert cards in a purse or wallet or constantly asking family and friends about my medical conditions. All the staff has to do is plug the band into any usb port and bring up the information.
Another feature that I like about this product is that not only holds your own medical records but up to 300 family members. other words, this product can be passed down through generations of family and no has to try to remember who had conditions -- it is all there.
The band is easy to use and to set up for put data in. After the information is saved on both the computer and band -- you can make any corrections at any time at home. Outside of the home computer -- the information on the band becomes a read-only file and can be read by any computer. There will be exceptions to the rule - example: hospitals that are very security concious and will not except any outside devices.
I would recommend this band for any one with any kind of medical condition from A to Z.
The Memory Care also come in keychain for those who don't like wearing bracelets.
