I faced a challenge in that my mother's new apartment in an assisted living center already had an elevated toilet stool, but not as high as she needed. Most elevated seats are 5"-6" high, and she only needed about 3" additional height. And, she had an elongated bowl, to boot. After much searching, I found this product. It installed easily, and the original toilet seat and lid fits directly on top, making it far less noticeable as a "handicap" toilet seat for guests. Mom likes it, and we're all happy!
