I can't say enough how impressed I was with the taste. I was expecting some horrible "fishy" flavor that would make you want to be sick. Not so! I mix a little soda (diet or regular) with the fish oil and drink all at once. No aftertaste or anything! I would suggest using glass rather than plastic cups. The oil seems to adhere more to the plastic. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the price. It's a little expensive, but worth it. I am giving this oil to my Autistic daughter, as a part of her Omega-3 dietary supplementation plan.
the taste and smell is just great! no other oil smells or tastes like that an dshe would not take another one.
rest aside these, the product is stated to be tested for heavy metal presence and is free of vitamins A and D, which makes it possible to give large amounts to children lacking omega-3 fatty acids without risk.
another thing to be considered is that the amout of omega-3 per volume is one of the highest available in liquid oils, making this oil very cost effective.
This is a great product that brought tremendous change for us!

This formulation of Omega-3 fish oil is a bulk liquid product. It is much easier to swallow than the pills, but the added convenience comes at a heft price tag. If you cannot swallow the pills, then the liquid form is for you.
Omega-3 fatty acids from our foods (or through supplementation) are important because our bodies do not have the enzymes necessary to create these long-chain fatty acids.
The major omega-3 fatty acids are:
ALA, (alpha) linolenic acid
EPA, eicosapentaenoic acid
DHA, docosahexaenoic acid
Supplemental Omega 3 Oils:
Many people desire to supplement their omega-3 fatty acid intake with dietary supplements. These supplements generally contain flaxseed oil or fish oil.
Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid but no EPA and DHA
Marine algae sources produce only DHA and no EPA
Cold water marine fish oil contains primarily EPA and DHA
The preferred form of omega-3 fatty acids is triglycerides from fish oil. It is the most bioavailable form. Another positive about omega-3 fatty acid nutritional supplements is that most of the contaminants, such as harmful PCBs and metals, have been removed during the purification process. Recently, Harvard Medical School researchers studied commercially available omega-3 fish oil supplements and found that they have only "negligible amounts of mercury". Further, they state: "The additional benefit of fatty acids from fish oil is that large doses of Omega-3 fatty acids can be ingested easily in a capsule without the risk of toxicity".
It is important to note that you should always buy omega-3 nutritional supplements with antioxidants. Antioxidants keep your omega-3 supplements fresh and when combined with vitamin E and/or other antioxidants you will decrease or eliminate the incidences of "fish burps".
Benefits of Omega-3 Oils:
Omega-3 fatty acid (oil) supplements may reduce cardiovascular events (death, non-fatal heart attacks, non-fatal strokes) if taken in suficient quantities. Bottom Line: Fish Oil really works to prevent artery disease, namely heart disease and strokes. It's not a bogus health food thing, it really works.
You need the EPA and the DHA from the fish. The other omega-3's, 6's etc. aren't the same. Skip the flaxseed, etc. You want enough EPA and DHA, you don't wanna be grossed out by the taste or get a fishy "repeat", and you don't wanna drink a bunch of unnecessary fat.
This stuff is good because: it has the right concentration of EPA/DHA: 1.3 g/teasp, which is high. And it tastes good. Even Nordic Naturals, a very respected company, has a similar EPA/DHA level, but tastes nasty.
Remember these supplements aren't regulated. Go to consumerlabs.com, they test the supplements. This wasn't tested, but Carlson capsules and cod liver oil were tested and passed, so i assume and hope this passes also.
That's all you need to know. If you're 30 or older, and you have high blood pressure and cholesterol like everyone else, take in at least 2 grams of EPA/DHA a day, your arteries will stay clean.
