I started taking generic cetirizine a couple of years ago because of skin allergies. I was then living in Korea, and picking it up at any local pharmacy. It was cheap, about $.25 a pill. When I arrived in America, I figured it would be cheaper, as this is the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. Wrong! In just about every pharmacy and Target and supermarket, all they sell is Zyrtec - which starts at about $1 per pill, and in bulk drops to maybe $.50 each. But it's the exact same thing as what you can order almost anywhere off the Net, Amazon included, for as cheap at $.10 per pill. I can't even imagine why Zyrtec is still on the market, except for people so poor they can't afford an Internet connection and a credit card. How ironic.
