I have used about half a tub of this size of Charlie's Soap, and so far I am impressed with it. This small tub definitely goes a long way! I love that it is also pretty light and doesn't take up much space on my shelf.
My husband wears LDS religious undergarments that over time have become yellowed and stinky. After a few washes with Charlie's Soap, they have already begun to lighten in color and the smell has been neutralized. I can't say for sure, but I would guess that if we started with new garments and Charlie's Soap then they would stay nice and white.
In addition, the Charlie's Soap is helping with the ammonia smell that my son's cloth diapers have developed. I was previously using Country Save, but now find that I prefer the Charlie's. The smell remains contained to the diaper pail and doesn't smell strongly after he wets the diaper like it did before. I haven't stripped the diapers or done anything other than change my laundry soap.
Since these are the two issues that led me to reconsider my laundry routine, I definitely think the Charlie's has fixed them both. I just wish I had tried it sooner!

Been using this a little over a month now. I think it cleans dirt just as well as any other detergent and is cheaper and "greener." I tend to be sensitive to scented products but this has caused no skin irritation. I gave some to my Mom who commented on how much softer and brighter her clothes were. In fact, she liked it so much that she recently ordered the large bucket size. I haven't noticed as big a change in my own laundry but that might be because the old soap residue is still working its way out. It doesn't seem to handle grease stains as well as some other detergents but I usually spray grease spots with stain remover anyway (and it isn't that common a type of stain for us) and I always wash in cold water which is not the best for grease removal. I would suggest that if you have a grease monkey in the family, you might want to get a smaller size and see if it works for you before buying it in bulk. Overall, the product works at least as well as any other out there I've used (if not better), is cheaper, better for an allergy sufferer like me, and safer for the environment. charlie's soap is the best. it gets out every kind of stain you can think of. the clothes have no scent (fragrance free) but just leaves this "clean" smell. its so wonderful for my 2 month old son for all of his clothes and cloth diapers. superb for his cloth diapers especially, they take out all stains and smell of urine. me and my husband also use it for all of our clothes, linens, everything that gets washed. its wonderful for my hubby's sensitive skin. he gets winter psoriasis and not onebreak out on his skin since we've been using charlie's. i had heard all the reviews and carefully decided my laundry detergent since it would be so important to my entire family. if your considering charlie's, buy it already. i started out with the 3lb tester, it lasted me 5 months so far. with insane daily,weekly, and monthly laundering and still have 1/4th left. I couldnt ask for anything better. on another note since using charlie's soap the black gunk that surrounds my subpump is gone. (all of that comes from that nasty regular detergent). cant say enough about charlie's but try it yourself. ill be sticking with it for a long time.Customer Review: Best natural laundry detergent - Gets the "sweat smell" out of my husbands uniforms

My husband is a police officer and high school coach. After we got a HE washing machine it seemed no matter what I did I couldn't get the "stink" out of his uniforms and gym clothes. I tried almost every natural detergent out there with no success. I finally got so desperate I even tried using Tide Free and Clear but even that didn't work. I finally found this detergent on a blog about cloth diapers, bought it on Amazon and waited for another failure..... Even after the first few loads came out smelling wonderfully clean I wasn't completely convinced. With some of the other detergents the shirts had seemed clean until he started to sweat and then....Oh my dear God, the smell was awful. After a few weeks of laundry I realized that not only did the laundry smell fresh (clean, not perfumed) but after a few hours of wear my husbands shirts still smelled clean. This detergent really, really works. I am sad that they are transitioning to the plastic jars, I really did like the cloth bags but oh well the detergent is the same.Customer Review: This product does everything it claims

I initially purchased this to clean cloth diapers. This stuff is awesome! I have extremely hard water, and many of my white diapers were tinged yellow because of rust. Charlies Soap took care of it and made them white again. I use it on all the family's laundry. Everything comes out so clean and fresh smelling. I had been using homemade laundry detergent, but this is well worth the extra cost. (It's not even that expensive.) It works better than Tide or any other name/store brand/homemade detergent that I have ever used.
My husband had also contacted the company to ask them for some tips when using this product with hard water. I don't think that we have ever worked with a company that offered better customer service. This company is amazing - extremely genuine and friendly. In this day and age, this is becoming so rare. We were very impressed with them.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone. I love it so much that I had went ahead and purchased the 5 gallon bucket!
